About Me

Serving Strathmore, Alberta and surrounding areas.

I'm Brady Munro, owner/operator of Munro Electric—a fully licensed and insured electrical business serving Strathmore, Alberta and surrounding areas. I was born and raised on a family farm near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Growing up, I loved math and problem solving which led me to pursue a career as an electrician.

In 2007, I completed a 10-month pre-employment electrical course at Winnipeg Technical College. I excelled in the course, so I knew that being an electrician was what I was meant to do. A short time later, I moved to where the work was—Calgary, Alberta. I accepted a job with Western Electrical where I worked for close to 12 years.  During my time as an electrician in Calgary, I worked with many experienced journeymen electricians and developed my electrical skills as well as my communication skills. I worked in a variety of buildings including The Foothills Hospital and the famous Bow Tower. I’ve trained and supervised apprentices and worked with tenants and general contractors. 

In November 2016, I moved to Strathmore, Alberta to be closer to family. Strathmore is a great little town that reminds me of the agricultural area I left behind in Manitoba. In June 2019, work slowed and I was laid off from Western Electrical. I turned this misfortune into an opportunity to start my own business, so that I could use my skills and expertise to serve my local community.

And so, Munro Electric was born. In 2020, I attained my Master Electrician Certification and have been running at maximum voltage ever since. I provide high-quality electrical services to Strathmore, Alberta and surrounding areas. I service both residential homes and commercial buildings.
